We are proud to announce the installation of two New World Wind® Wind Trees in Perth, Australia, one of the windiest and most consistent regions in the World. Bringing our biomorphic technology to Australian soil is more than a technical milestone, it’s a symbol of trust, innovation, and expansion to a new continent.

"While New World Wind®  trees are celebrated for air quality and shade, some sculptures have a different job — creating electricity and making a statement.

The two sculptural trees, reaching 9m high, were recently erected at the estate and were already fully operational.

They each have 36 separate wind turbines that produce nearly 5000kWh of electricity every year.

That is enough power for each tree to light up 15 streetlights or 100sqm of office space. But in Catalina the trees will be used to power carpark lighting for a commercial precinct that is being built.

Although the Catalina Wind Trees, built by EVT Energy, are the first in Australia, there are more than 200 wind trees in 42 countries around the world.

The Catalina Estate is owned and developed by Seven Metropolitan local government areas, including the cities of Stirling, Joondalup, Wanneroo, Perth and Vincent, and the towns of Victoria Park and Cambridge."
